The Energy, Vision, Healing, and Restoration of The Aurora Inn
One of the things that makes The Aurora Inn so special is that it has truly been restored with intention.

Many guests who visit The Aurora immediately notice that the property feels
peaceful,
calming, and
welcoming but what many don’t know is that this transformation was never just about renovations or design choices alone.
One of the owners of The Aurora,
Janine Whittaker, is
not only a designer and real estate investor, but also
a feng shui consultant
who has
spent years studying how energy impacts the way people experience a space.
In fact, Janine was previously featured by for her work in feng shui and energetic space transformation.
A Meaningful Moment Before The Aurora’s First Wedding

This week, ahead of
The Aurora’s very first wedding celebration,
Janine performed a
remote space clearing
for the property.
Space clearing is a feng shui practice intended to energetically cleanse old patterns, reset intentions, and help support positive experiences and new memories within a space. For The Aurora, this felt especially meaningful. (play the video)
Before the property became what it is today, it had fallen into severe disrepair under previous ownership. There was a period when the property became locally known for drugs, partying, and constant police activity. We were once told the property accounted for nearly 30% of the local police calls in the area.
When our team first purchased the property, we saw something deeper beneath all of that.
We saw potential.
We saw beauty.
We saw healing.
And we saw an opportunity to restore a place that could once again become a positive part of the community.
Restoring the Property and Its Energy
Since then, every renovation, every design decision, every guest experience, and every gathering hosted at The Aurora has been approached with care and intention.
From redesigning suites to creating peaceful outdoor spaces, cozy firepit areas, wellness-inspired experiences, and meaningful guest stays, the vision has always been larger than simply operating a hotel.
The goal has been to create a place where people can reconnect with nature, with loved ones, and with themselves.
While there are still many dreams and future improvements ahead for The Aurora, moments like this remind us how far this property has already come.
From chaos to calm.
From neglected to celebrated.
From surviving to shining again.
And as we welcome weddings, celebrations, vacations, and new memories into this next chapter, we are deeply grateful for everyone who has supported The Aurora’s journey so far.
